Your Child's Social World
Find a space
Find a space in the house where you can close the door. The space you use is intended to help you and your child focus. Everything you do in the room can be done anywhere else. For parents of children who are older and aren’t appropriate for a playroom setting, you would simply find a place to be focused.
Preparing the room
Make sure the room is extremely clean, you don’t want distractions for the child. These distractions can act as competitors for your child’s attention.
Finding objects
For young children, it is important to use large objects first to gain immediate interaction. This is a simple concept built on my own observing of smaller objects allowing a child’s vision to remain close and downward.
